We have added an EdinburghGuide.com newsletter. Initially, this will occasionally let you know about developments on the site and other noteworthy news.
Design fixes
Internet Explorer 6.0 users (poor you!) may have experienced some layout problems when viewing the Edinburgh film and theatre listings pages - these bugs have been fixed along with a few minor design adjustments to the navigation menu.
Creating new posts menu
There are two ways registered users can post to EG:
(1) under the "Edinburgh" navigation menu (at top left of every page) choose the flyout menu "Create Content" and then choose your otpion (e.g. Forum Topic).
(2) go to the page where you want to post (e.g. Forum) and click the link to create content
If you are registered you can post comments to some posts as well. The link to post a comment is usually at the end of the item.
Making forums look good for you
I made a post to the Forum, just over a week ago, on how to get ensure that your post doesn't have additional whitespace.
Events Calendar
A number of people have asked about posting events on the new Edinburgh Events calendar. This is still being tested out, so please post events in the forums for now.
New look EG
As regulars will see, EG has had a makeover. I've tried to maintain the simplicity and ease-of-use in the navigation and design that people said they liked so much about EG's first incarnation.
New Forums
We've added a new Edinburgh forum. The previous PhpBB forums did a good job, but after we moved to our new CMS in August, we felt the need to streamline our site. This meant replacing the older forum so that people don't need two separate log-ins for posting comments and another for interacting on the site as a whole.
