The Kilt Walk - Saturday 23 August 2008 from 11am to 4pm at the Ross Theatre in Princes Street Gardens.

Join the The Rock Trust Kilt Walk! It's a sponsored walk with a difference for all the family where you can proudly wear your kilt, along with hundreds of other kilted walkers, on a 5km route around some of Scotland's most famous sights.

Starting and finishing at the Ross Theatre in Edinburgh's West Princes Street Gardens, the route loops round the Gardens, past the back of Edinburgh Castle, before dropping back down to the finish directly below the mighty Castle ramparts!

The build up to the event will begin at 11am with a ceilidh. The Walk will start at 12pm, and should take a maximum of one hour to complete. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt and a Scottish themed goodie bag. In addition, there's a host of entertainment planned at the Ross Theatre, featuring Scottish bands Scocha, The Porridge Men and Cantara.

Don't have a kilt? You can still take part by wearing our tartan themed t-shirt, something tartan or even a See You Jimmy Hat! Register today at www.kiltwalk.org to reserve your event t-shirt!
