Statue of President Lincoln in the Calton Cemetry on a dreich winter's
day. The statue, made by Wallace Bruce, was unveiled in 1893, 28 years
after the president's assassination. The statue depicts Lincoln
bestowing freedom on an African slave, and commemmorates the part
played by Scottish soldiers in the American Civil War, 6 of whom are
buried nearby.
