Just The Tonic's 12 comedy shows are relocating to C Venues Soco - the tented Fringe venue at the gap site in the Cowgate, formerly occupied by the Gilded Balloon. Just The Tonic's shows are being forced to move after it was confirmed that their original venue The Caves would not be completed in time.

The addition to the line-up at Soco, one of several venues run at the Edinburgh Fringe under the 'C' brand, brings their total number of shows to 180 across all venues.

C venues’ Artistic Director Hartley Kemp today said, ‘Darrell and his team have done a great job to develop comedy at the Festival over the years. The performers are heart of the Fringe and we are pleased to have been able to accommodate them at our unique new venue on the Cowgate. Comedy has always been as important to us as our drama, dance and musical theatre and we feel that it is a great opportunity to build on our success with events such as the Electric Cabaret’.

Just The Tonic will set up camp in the two tents that make up the performance space of C soco urban garden, creating a new cornerstone of Edinburgh comedy in the heart of the Festival city. Darrell Martin, for Just The Tonic, said, ‘What a silver lining! Our venue on the other side of the bridge is not going to be ready, so we up ship and move, quite literally, round the corner into a couple of fancy pants marquees. Brilliant – and really pretty fortunate. My bacon is not only saved, but what a great location and a pretty exciting last minute salvage operation’.
