Scots universities are involved in "world-leading" research with Edinburgh University topping Scotland's universities for the quality of its research, according to a report just published.
SNH Trumpets Bigger Bog at Blawhorn Moss
Celebrations took place yesterday on one of the largest and best examples of lowland raised peat bogs in the Lothians to mark its re-declaration as a National Nature Reserve (NNR). The 110 hectare Blawhorn Moss is owned by Scottish Natural Heritage and the organisation is keen for people to visit this internationally recognised reserve.

Adult Education in Edinburgh Marks A Century
Edinburgh will mark 100 years of Adult Education in the city this year, with a special event that shows its development over the years. Included in the exhibition will be historic records and photographs which detail class programmes and information from as far back as 1908. There will also be information about the latest programme of classes and opportunities to enrol for classes.
